Making money on YouTube is not as hard as you might expect, there are many ways to do this. Some methods are only possible if your channel is already very popular, but don’t get discouraged – even a small channel can get you some money if people enjoy the work you do.
You may not be able to quit your daily routine, but with a little work you can at least cover your costs and turn your channel into a profitable side boutique.
No matter how you decide to make money on YouTube, always let your audience know. YouTube’s Terms of Service explain how you can access this.
If your channel is popular enough, AdSense is the easiest way to make money on YouTube. If you are approved to participate, you will receive a small discount for advertising on your videos.
Before you become an AdSense member, you must participate in a YouTube Partner Program with some requirements:
Follow the policies of the YouTube Partner Program
Live in the country where the program is available (see full list)
Hold 4,000 hours of public time over the past five months
Have over 1,000 subscribers
Keep a linked Google AdSense account (sign up for free)
Even if you have not yet met public waiting times and subscriber requirements, you can sign up to evaluate when your account reaches the required milestones. Sign in to YouTube, click on your account icon in the upper right corner and select “Creator Studio”. Select “Channel” and click “Status and Operations”. Scroll down to “Monetize” and check “OK”.
If you have already met the required numbers or not, your account will be submitted to YouTube for immediate review.
The evaluation process includes automated systems and human estimators, so expect that to take a while. You can view the status of your app on the YouTube Earnings page.
Once you get approved, you are ready to go. If that’s not the case, you don’t have to worry. You can take the necessary steps to ensure that your channel meets the requirements and retries within 30 days.
The Mercantis Project
Business Wardrobe is a collaboration between YouTube and Teespring – a company that specializes in advertising t-shirts, hoodies, mugs and other items.
To qualify on the business shelf, you must be a member of the YouTube Partner Program (described above), have at least 10,000 subscribers, and no social guided attacks against your name. In short, your reputation should be flawless.
If you are in a country where you can access the YouTube Partner Program, you can set up a business wardrobe, but visitors can only buy your brand goodies in select countries (see full list).
Design Launcher and Teespring Design your business by ordering printed items and uploading them to your audience. For every sale you get a discount on profits.
Do you still have 10,000 subscribers? Don’t worry, there are other ways to sell branded products. Sites like Spreadshop (worldwide) and Spreadsheet (UK only) make it easy to design your own t-shirts that are printed on demand and sent directly to your interested audience without touching anything.
Since these sites are not integrated directly with YouTube, you must share the link for your branded items in your video descriptions and draw attention to them in the videos.
If you use products frequently in your videos (for example, for self-study on cosmetics), it is worth researching store partner programs. Some programs allow everyone to become a member, but most have an approval process, where you have to prove that your channel has enough audience to make a good investment. Amazon Links is one of the easiest to connect to, and it is very useful.
Once approved, you can provide custom links to products in your video descriptions so that the seller knows that the customer has reached the shop through your channel. If the visitor chooses to buy something, you get a small commission (different vendors offer different fees). Products cost nothing extra for your visitors.
If your channel gets off the ground, you can find companies that want to fund your news. You can do this by accessing them directly (watch sponsored videos like yours to find the ones that are most vulnerable to the idea), or through a third party like Fembit, which acts as an agent to trade brands with YouTubers.
Conditions for partnership vary greatly: you enjoy their product, in reference to the Sponsor, which are open for your video video yocanaikalukkut, or have their own suggestions, think that it’s appropriate for you and you want to make a deal, both of you need to determine the appropriate price GPS turned on.
Always make it as clear as possible if you’ve worked with a brand to make a video – not just to ensure that you meet YouTube’s terms of service, but also to maintain your audience’s trust.
Fans are a kind of crowd funding tool to support their favorite artists and producers, and it is perfect if you have an enthusiastic audience that wants to help cover the cost of producing more content. Money earned through Patreon can go to your general expenses or create special content as a bonus to the “customers” you pay.
As this is a subscription site, you can be sure that you are getting a certain amount each month, which provides some consistency.
However, Patrion is not free and there are various costs involved with setting up your account, paying customers and transferring money to your account. View full details.
